Traditional Lemonade
An ice-cold glass of Old-Fashioned Lemonade epitomizes summer. You won’t believe how simple our homemade lemonade recipe is, and we’ll walk you through every step of the process. Ingredients
- 6 cups cold water
- 2 cups lemon juice (8 to 10 lemons)
- 1 cup sugar
- Ice cube
- Lemon slice, if desired
- Maraschino cherry with stem, if desired
Steps
- 1Mix water, lemon juice and sugar in large pitcher until sugar is dissolved. Refrigerate about 3 hours or until chilled if desired.
- 2Serve lemonade over ice. Garnish each serving with a lemon slice and cherry.

- tip 1: To get the most juice from the lemons, let them stand at room temperature or microwave on High for a few seconds before squeezing them. Rolling the lemons on a counter while pushing down firmly to break the tissues inside will also release more juice for our lemonade recipe.
